Biography

Barbara Vater is an artist based in Madison, Wisconsin. As an active member of the Wisconsin Visual Artists and the Madison Art Guild she exhibits continuously in group and solo shows.  She has been honored with Best of Show and People’s Choice awards for encaustic, acrylic, and oil work.

She typically works in the studio using her own photos as reference and selects mediums according to the subject.  People, animals, and nature all inspire her.
